Brookside
Brookside Residence is currently working toward licensure as a Level I Residential Care Facility. Beautifully designed and furnished, with an accessible garden planned by landscape architects from the University of Arkansas, Brookside offers safe, comfortable assisted living for women or for couples.
The concepts of Universal Design are a central feature of the residence. Accessible, barrier-free design is essential for individuals with disabilities. However, older forms of barrier-free design can result in residences which separate those with differing abilities, and can ignore aesthetic considerations. Universal Design allows the Brookside Residence to be a beautiful home in which differently-abled couples can live with pleasure.
Countertops are at comfortable levels for both seated and standing users, the kitchen and bathrooms are spacious enough for complete wheelchair access, and common living areas include amenities for people with a range of differing abilities. Granite countertops, hardwood and tile floors, and elegant furnishings create an aesthetically satisfying environment. A 3,000 square foot home built in 2005, Brookside is a luxurious option for those needing assisted living services.
Professional care staff from Arkansas Support Network provide needed care for Brookside residents. Phillips Development Corporation provides upkeep and facilities management for all Quality Life Associates properties.
